The MAC board has a strong desire to integrate cost effective and long-term sustainable "green building" concepts into the design and operation of the facility.  The Aquatic Center consists of three bodies of water including a competitive style swimming pool, a multi-purpose activity pool and a spa.

The natatorium incorporates triple glazed windows on three sides of the space affording sweeping vistas of the Cascades Range from Mt Bachelor to Mt. Hood, while flooding the space with natural light providing long term cost saving in energy consumption.
